For this Social Media Marketing class, we have been using many platforms that are helpful for any business or even personal branding. Blogging, was personally one of my favorite ones because there is so much room for anything. The possibilities for things that you can do are endless and it is something that I like because it got my creativity going.
Hootsuite is a tool that has made a big change in the way I see social media. It is an easy way to manage different account in the same platform without having to go from one to another.
I learned that this is only the beginning of the social media era and just like blogging, there are infinite ways to interact with others. In the future this will only keep increasing, so having this knowledge and platforms will help to stay up to date with the trends.
My college career started after I signed with St. Edward’s University. College golf has been an important part of my development as an athlete and as a person. These pictures represent from 2017-2018. More to come as the 2019-2020 season is on its way. Stay tuned and follow me on social media!!!
In this blog, I will be talking about my life and how it has been impacted through sports and fitness.
Ever since I was younger I have played many sports, such as basketball, soccer, tennis, swimming, baseball, lacrosse, golf and currently lifting weights. Competition has always driven me to become better and anyone that knows me can describe me as such. I was gifted with the ability to perform many different sports and through hard work and dedication, I created a golf career that would help me play collegiate golf.
As mentioned before, I am always trying to be the best I can be. Fortunately one of my teammates had the same mentality I did and introduced me to working out. Hudson Ross, had a great impact in my life by strengthening my attitude in a day to day basis. We both started a program called Kinobody and it changed our golf game, our bodies and our confidence levels towards everything we did.
If you had the opportunity to watch the video, it may come off as something unachievable. The trick behind getting in the best shape is consistency, and Greg explains each and every step in his programs. I am not affiliated with Kinobody, this is just my experience and the way it has impacted me. Three months into the program I was feeling stronger, which helped me in my golf game. Many people around me told me that I should not be spending time in the gym, and later on they expressed how much I had improved. My golf coach noticed a significant change in the way I played the sport and the confidence it had given me as an athlete. In the classroom I was not scared of going in front of the class during presentations, or even raise my hand up to ask a question. In my social life it was unreal the way I interacted with people, it was like a new Carlos had come up to life. All of this may sound fake or propaganda to the Kinobody Community, but it was like a flip of a switch to me and to my teammate Hudson.
Finally, the way Kinobody has impacted me is something I want to do for others. Currently I still follow these programs and I have two of my new teammates into them. They have given Kinobody a chance and it had the same effect on them as it did on me. The trick behind it is to stay consistent and embrace the new challenges that life brings you by wanting to be the best and making the most out of them. I personally encourage people to take care of themselves, their body and their mind. It does not matter if you follow a workout program or not, the goal is to be happy with who you are and what you do!!
This is my first blog!!! My interests lean toward the fitness world and being the best version of yourself. Follow me on social media @c4rlost3rc3ro to stay tuned with my personal branding and enjoying life to the fullest.
I am a student-athlete at St. Edward’s University. My enthusiasm towards fitness and motivation to being the best version of myself come from playing college golf. I found passion in the process of getting better through fitness, which translated into my life. I am a junior with a Business Major and a Marketing Minor. I have a 3.6 GPA.
Sports have played a big part of my life and they have inspired me to be the person I am today. As a kid I started playing soccer and basketball until I was in middle school. Then I took on golf, and I got around the right people that inspired me to play college golf. This blog is for me to have the same impact on other people and inspire them to be better and pursue their dreams. It is important to believe in yourself and surround yourself around the right people.
Being a student athlete, I play a big role with the people in my University and my teammates. Every day is a new opportunity to impact others through my hard work and dedication. Leading by example is a great way I have motivated my teammates in the course and peers in the classroom.
Stay tuned with this blog to learn more about myself and how this translation has had a positive impact in my life. @c4rlost3rc3ro
